FlockPlenty does not track chicken prices at the moment, though you can still manually input the sale price. You can export your sale and expense data to Excel for tax purposes at the end of the year. Thanks for the feedback!
I've updated my free chicken egg tracking app to allow you to track individual birds in your flock, including breed, hatch date, and any other custom notes you want to record. You can find it at http://flockplenty.com. Let me know what you think!

I just put a hen saddle on one of my chickens. I got a Hen Saver saddle and bought it on Amazon. One of my hens was missing some feathers due to pecking. The pecking seems to have stopped for the most part, but I want to protect my hen's bare spots to give the feathers a chance to grow back...
Hey San Mateo chicken owners! I'm going to be showing people my coop during the Tour de Coop this Saturday, come on by and visit! Go to http://tourdecoop.org/ to sign up and get more info. Also I created a Meetup group for backyard chicken owners in San Mateo and the SF Peninsula area...
Thanks everyone for the great feedback about my app! A lot of you were asking for better sales and expense tracking. It's now available in the FlockPlenty app for $4.99 under the "Accounting" tab. In addition, you can import and export data in CSV format to make it easier to transfer your data...
They organize the coops into different tours in different cities. For example, last year the farthest north they went was Redwood City, and they had a tour of four or five coops there. Each city kind of has its own tour. People who sign up can choose which ones they want to attend. I met with...
Wow a lot of great looking coops here! Mine is a bit more ramshackle, but it serves its purpose! I have a lemon tree and a mulberry tree in the run, it's a bit tricky keeping the chickens out of the trees but I figured something out. :)
I posted on Nextdoor about the Tour de Coop already, but...

I'm developing a free iPhone app for record keeping, it lets you record eggs and feed and take notes and photos. I've been using it for a few weeks and find it much more convenient than a spreadsheet. The app hasn't yet been approved by the App Store but if you'd like to try a beta version or...

Okay I have a version ready to use. I've submitted to the app store, hopefully I can get it approved soon. I'm going to make it available for free. If you'd like to try a beta before it's approved, just private message me your email address and I can let you in on the beta. Here are some...
I have a Rhode Island Red that seems a little off lately. Her comb seems pale, she is acting a bit lethargic, and often she will stand and tap the ground twice with a foot. Any idea what might be the problem? I think this hen is about 3 years old now.
