    American Lavender Geese

@Olive Hill , this is true. With my breeding of my Lavender gander last year to my Buff goose, I got all Blue offspring. Gorgeous birds. This year I have taken one of those resultant Blue ganders and put him with a Buff goose. Upon first small hatch, I have what appears to be 2 Blue and 2...

I am looking for genetics input. :-) As was stated before in this thread by @pete55, I believe, Lavender bred to Buff will result in blue offspring and the males will be split to buff. I placed one of those males with a buff goose. Am I remembering correctly that the that the offspring would...

    American Lavender Geese

@apricotvalleywf My thought was lacing, not penciling, but when the person said they were penciled, I was confused. The ones with the lacing right now are 4 months old. My youngest two that are not yet showing any lacing are 2.5 months and 3 months, but the lacing on the others did not start...

    American Lavender Geese

I have an update to my babies from my Lavender gander and Buff goose! Some of my babies have turned out to be what I have been told is Penciled Blue!! How does this happen? Would it have been some buff background in the Lavender gander?

    American Lavender Geese

Now the ultimate question...If I retain a Blue goose from my babies that are resulting from a Buff goose under a Lavender gander, back under the Lavender gander, what will the resulting color be in the offspring of that color mix? @AquaEyes @pete55 @Olive Hill Any insight would be greatly...

    American Lavender Geese

Question on the offspring @AquaEyes and @pete55 . I see you saying when breeding Lavender gander to Buff goose all offspring will be blue and the male offspring will be blue split to buff, is this Lavender/Self-Blue you are meaning or do you mean truly blue? I have a Lavender Ice gander from...
