We are still deciding on where we are going to buy or birds, so far all I can find is straight run for bantems unless we order from cacklehatchery.com. We might also order them from a local hatchery (they are about 40 minutes or so from where we live) or from Murray McMurray, or from the feed...

I'm sorry to hear that a fox got some of your ladies. It sounds like you could do Easter egg hunt without coloring any eggs! Very pretty eggs!

Me and DH are thinking just bantams now, he wants colorful birds he isn't too concerned about the egg color.

Thank you all! I do have a question, I am having trouble trying to pick breeds of chicks, so far the only breeds that have been picked is begian bearded d'uccle (mille fleur verity) and Japanese bantams, we want colorful ladies since we can only have six birds...any suggestions? I would also...

I currently don't have any but trying to find a color combo for my backyard since the husband says they aren't anything more then lawn ornaments that also give us breakfast lol, what kind of chickens do you have?
