Alas too late, she died in my arms, in the last hour she seemed to blow up like a balloon, I took her to the vets but she died on the way, i think it must have been egg yolk peritonitis, feel ashamed that i did not see the signs earlier.
My 2 year old light sussex has a really swollen rear end, i gently inserted a lubricated finger cant feel an egg from inside or outside, but she looks very uncomfortable and is waddling, not sure when she last laid, she is eating, I have her stood in a warm bath, but the swelling is bad.. help...

Here is my only successful hatch of 6 eggs, however they were mixed Wyandotte eggs and i really wanted a GL, I am hoping I have a Pullet but guess its too early to know though she is very submissive with the 2 other hybrid chicks, and no colour on the comb yet, fingers crossed..
