We also have a neighbor with a pond and it has snapping turtles in it. Ducks and Hawks?

What I have read about red shouldered hawks is that they rarely eat things larger than a pigeon. They would definitely be a problem with your ducklings.

    Hatching Chicks

We have been incubating for several years, That looks like the egg is bad , it will ooze where it has split and it is rotten and usually smells bad. If this is the case you need to get it out of there and be very careful when you do, they can pop and then you have that spoiled stuff all over...

Best Way To Help an all Female coop start laying again

Laying has to do with the hours of light there are in a day. All you need to do is put a fluorescent light on in their pen, leave it on for 14 to 16 hours a day and they will start laying again.

    1 week old with hatchlings

Definitely agree with the person above, we raised quail for several years and you should not mix different ages. They are very aggressive.

Question re: Turning (Brinsea mini advance)

I agree It is better for the eggs to be turned more often and our turner doesn't have settings either, just turns every 2 hrs too. When we started we had a Styrofoam Hubavator and only turned eggs twice a day or every 12 hrs we had good hatches. We hatched chickens, ducks, quail, pheasants...

Question re: Turning (Brinsea mini advance)

We have automatic turners on our incubators.. they turn every 2 hours. If you don't have an automatic turner they have to be turned at least twice a day.

Bronze Turkeys - male or female?

We have been raising turkeys for 20 years, hens will sometimes strut but they will not gobble. The 2 turkeys on the right definitely look like gobblers. The turkey on the left could possibly be a hen or the least dominant gobbler of the three.
