I have some beautiful wine box tops and was trying to find a way to make it easier to collect the eggs. This is what I came up with- the grandkids love it!

I have had a flock of chickens for 3 1/2 years. I have learned a lot since I started!!!
The most we have had at one time is 16 hens. (Roosters were too aggressive and noisy- I would like to try again with a more tame one.)
We have lost quite a few to hawks, so now we do not free range...
Here is what we created for introducing our chicks to the flock. We have one rooster and five hens. The chicks are about two - three months old now and are getting too big for the brooding box in the coop. I call this a "Mini Coop" - basically, we built a 6 x 3 foot frame with an open bottom...
