I was wondering if anyone knows if
Herniaria glabra (Rupturewort)
is dangerous for ducks (or chickens).
I want to us it in place of grass, but I'm nervous that it may not be something they should eat.
I would love to believe that if they shouldn't eat it, they wont.....but things...

Once they outgrew the chick feed, I started them on Mazuri Waterfowl feed which they LOVE! When I started buying the Mazuri from Cal Ranch, it was $35 for a 50lbs bag. Well the price got hiked up to $44 a bag...
Here is a little info I got regarding chickens in Sierra Vista. I searched EVERYWHERE! I poured through ordinances and found nothing. Finally I called the city directly and here is what they said.
First they told be no, but the lady's tune changed a bit when I asked her for the ordinance number...

You may not need to go electric. :) I had this issue with my dogs before and i found this solution. Buy a roll of that thick welded wire and some fence staples. Tack the wire to the fence and presto..no more destructo dog. :)

#1) There is no city ordinance regarding this.
#2) In the city development codes under "Single Family Residence" is does not say anywhere that they are prohibited. Matter of fact it says NOTHING on the topic.

I've been looking into Brahmas, Cochin, and Ameraucana. I don't know a lot yet but I'm looking for a very friendly breed that can tolerate the hot Arizona weather and some cold too. The Ameraucana of these three seem to be the best layers of the three. (Will only be raising for eggs and pets)...
