    The black ones with good around their necks are Black Sex links. They will give you 300 plus brown eggs their first 2 years. The red one is s Production Red, a hatchery RIR or NH that was meant for egg laying.

    Yes, since they aren't laying use a feed with 17% or more protein so they can grow a little faster. Calcium is for egg shell and they don't need that.

    Yup. That would be fine. You can also use DE but that is for prevention and I'm not sure what your case is. Poultry dust also works fine in prevention and in curing. Permethrin works best

    I keep it on mine all day every day, until they are 6-8 weeks. Start at 90 Fahrenheit and Each week you go down 5 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest after that is 70 Fahrenheit

    Actually, it could be hollow. Could there be a very small crack that you haven't noticed and air possibly got in? The egg shell could just not bes as thick.

    No chicken actually has a determined volume level. I can hear mine cackle when I'm inside my house. All chickens will make noise but some will make less and some will make more noise. Typically leghorns are known for being very flight.
