Well aart tried it in four different coops all had the same result. A local farmer told me the trick and I only left them on for the first twenty four hours after that I shut them back off. It worked I changed nothing else. I'm going to add lighting to the coops and put them on a timer two hours...
Update: It was season change I guess. I tried an experiment and added lights. Left them on for twenty four hours next day eggs. Not a lot of lights just some LED's and presto eggs. Thanks for all the help
Where are you located? I am in Mooresville NC. By the way awesome puppies I had my Great dane till he was ten. So is the Flock Raiser better than the Layena?
I'm sorry I missed the question about switching to laying pellets... I switched after they slowed down so that would be about three weeks ago. I was getting excited because I started getting more and more eggs. The grandbabies love collecting the eggs because the easter eggers were starting to...
Thanks for your post and yes all my chickens. I'm sorry everyone is getting hung up on the 200 number. I messed up on actual count per coop because I did not feel it was pertinent. The most I have in any one coop after counting today is 31 not 40. I realize they don't have the maximum space...
This was my first thought as well I set up my trail cams and came up with nothing. Also it is all my chickens, the ones out at the big house and the bantams my son has in the show pens which are inside the garage.

My chicken houses are five foot front to back ten foot left to right and five foot tall. They are attached to runs that are ten foot wide by sixteen feet long by seven feet tall that gives them 160 square feet of floor space on the ground and fifty square feet in the house. I have six of these...
Whoa I had no intention of being rude or rushing anyone. I simply responded with the answers and then several hours later after realizing that a lot of people had looked at my post but no one seemed to have any answers I commented. Thank you all for the very nice welcome I received for a first...
