Does this part include them running away from me in the broader? If so what is the best way to get them to come to you at that point? 2 of the 4 silkies will just about stand still in the broader when I reach to pick them up, most of the time. But the other 2 run away as if I'm a ghost. May be...
I recently got 4 baby silkies. I know they are more tame than other chickens but what is the best way to tame chickens and how long with being consistent will it take? Also want to use this with my other chickens and future feathered friends.
This hen is a year old next month. She looks very similar to a bearded d'uckle however she does not have feathered feet. She has already started one brood and is slightly smaller than our black cochin. Her legs look to be almost green in color, maybe easter egger? Opinions?
I just read about that just before your post. We have been breeding out current flock and selling at our local swap and have been wanting baby silkies for year's but all we saw until last weekend were silkie roosters people were wanting to get rid of. Also currently building another coop and run...

Just got some beautiful Willie chicks from a swap last weekend. I picked out this one because I felt it was a frizzle. What is everyone else opinion? Also I believe it is a partridge Willie. Can anyone confirm this also?

This fowl came up in my yard and tried for hours to get in with my chickens. It made it into my duck pen but continued trying to get with my chickens, lol... Is this a guinea fowl? Trying to find the owners but so many in my neighborhood have poultry. If I can't find the owners I will try to...
So yes, the one i believed to be a roo was. He is the most handsome roo I have owned so far. The only thing that threw me off the most is he was with the other speckled sussex in a pullet bin. I picked out 8 bitties, 6 from pullet bins and 2 from straight run bins wanting to have 1 roo and the...
I just got 4 pekin ducks 1 week old. I own chickens and have a set of these already (just getting into ducks also), but want to know if these will work when the ducks are older on their feeder?
