I got a normal egg on the 16th and 2 more normal eggs today (17th). I hadn't locked them up yet either, searched around for poo and it all looked pretty normal, there were a couple of watery white poos though.
I cant think of anything toxic that could be around. I will look around though. I will keep them confined to the coop and run, hopefully i will notice something
I hope it is a nutrition problem, but since they eat a lot, it shouldn't be. I don't want to believe it, but i know deep down its IB. I read there's nothing that can be done about it, you can only get rid of your flock and disinfect everything, and that the disease should die within with a few...
I wasn't having any eggs problems until January. I live in SE TX and the winters are usually mild, but this time around it gets to the low 30's and it has been rainy and windy. I only have 4 pullets and they are 8 months. They are also laying a lot less, last month i was getting 3 or 4 eggs a...
I used pine shavings before with no prob. I now use dry leaves, they're free and they work great, better than chopped straw and pine shavings. I was thinking of switching to sand, as soon as i feel like going to find some.

I think mixed breeds, not sure what breeds were mixed. Looks like all males, except the black one looks to be a girl. They are pretty! OK edit, I looked around and I think you have Easter egger mixes. If you could ask the friend what chickens they have, people on here could probably narrow it...
i just read poor blood flow due to heart or liver failure, etc could have caused it. the organ failure could've been cause by genetic issues or he ate something poisonous. im sure there are a few other things that could have caused it, have to keep searching
