He said they should be easy to treat when I dropped them off. He also said he didn't think they have cocci he thinks they just have a bad respitory infection. He said I should pick up some Tylan and give them some. He didn't have anymore but I got some from tractor supply and some needles. Do...
So, I called the farmers feed place I got the two sick ones from and they said they would take them back and give me my money back. I asked them several times what they were going to do with them and he said they have the antibiotics to treat them and that's what they were going to do. I ask him...
That was exactly the point I was trying to get across to my family, that I don't know what they have and it's going to be hard to figure out what to treat them for.
So my family and I decided that we will keep trying and wait the remainder of the 7 days of Corid to see if they get better before taking anyone to the vet. I have another antibiotic I could also try to give them if the Corid doesn't work. But for now I'm going to keep giving liquids to everyone...
Thanks so much Kathy! I just made an appt. for all five of them! Oh my goodness! They said the exam fee for all 5 is 110 which I think for 5 birds isn't too bad. I pay 45 for 1 dog at my vet. But I'll keep you up to date on them.
So the ones outside are wheezing and sneezing and coughing with nasal discharge I feel like this could be something else besides cocci? I'm just nervous I'm treating for the wrong thing. But they also are puffy and one closes her eyes like the brahma.
So if this is actually cocci how long will it take them to get better? Because the ones outside have been on Corid for about 3 days now and I feel like they're getting worse
Okay. And she is eating the medicated chick crumbles right now. Also I see some bloody stools from my girls that are outside should I do the same to each of them?
