    At 6.5 weeks I have a bird that weighs 9.8lbs. He started having trouble walking and seemed to be stressed, so he was harvested. Is it unusual for the bird to be that weight at 6 weeks? They others weigh around 5-7lbs. I do not restrict food and they spend all their time in a very large coop.

    Thank you. I am thinking he is a he because he seems to have squabbles with the known rooster chick (jersey giant) They both kind of puff their chests up and dance around and kind of peck each other.

    Hoping it is a hen, we have enough roosters. Does McMurray sell Easter eggers? I didn’t see those in the catalog when I ordered. I tried to match the pic and the closest was Ameraucana and whiting true blue

    Only if you are not making an attempt to make it a business. We sell about 3 dozen a week. I built a coop and a run for about $800 and wrote that off. I use the money to buy feed etc. So you only need to show a profit 1 out of 5 years. I will have made a profit after 5 years once the eggs...
