    IA here

Hi! I'm near Cedar Rapids and have 5 girls I purchased last year (you're right, they are so much fun! And they help keep the bugs down on our little hobby farm). I got 6 more this year (3 are the little bantams) what did you get?

Pure bred bantams, guess the breed!

The one with the white chest really has me puzzled. I think the little gold one (#1) might be a black tailed white Japanese bantam (but I'm not familiar with them- totally a guess)

Pure bred bantams, guess the breed!

I was thinking the same thing! I got them at Theisens and I think they go through Hoover hatchery

Need help determining breed, age and possible sex of adopted chick

Looks like a pullet to me, but I'm new at this game. :)

Confused- suppose to be a barred rock, what do you think?

I'm so glad! So she most likely is a pullet! Yay!! The greenish tinted feathers scared me a little. :)

3 wk EE has head tilted to one side and walks in circles

I wonder if I started treating her too late, she's still Derpy but seems to be healthy otherwise. More of a loner than the rest of them, and often walks right over the other birds as if she doesn't see them. :(

Confused- suppose to be a barred rock, what do you think?

Updated photos! Here is Lucy at 6 weeks... Can you tell what kind of breed yet? If she's a sexlink, this color/pattern would indicate a pullet, true? I was surprised to see some shiny, greenish tinted feathers toward her back side. Clearly it hasn't been sunny here for awhile.
