What breed/sex is this? Wondering if the hatchery sold it wrong...

Here are some up close photos of the wattles and comb I was able to get today. Our Welsummer chick has no color whatsoever on wattles or comb. This one has wattles that are growing and turning red plus a reddening comb.Is the consensus then still that this is a Welsummer pullet vs the...

(S)he looks different from our Welsummer chick as well. That one seems pretty true to breed. This is our Welsummer chick, Fiona

I'm new to chickens...can anyone help identify the sex of this chick?

Here is an update on this chick. We are now about 6-7 weeks old (at least. Maybe a bit more. Not sure of hatch date). Does this even look like a Barnevelder at this point? That's what it was sold as...

What breed/sex is this? Wondering if the hatchery sold it wrong...

Chick hatch date is unknown, but I would guess based on feathers that we got it around 1-2 weeks old. It was sold as a Barnevelder pullet, but all the barnevelders I'm seeing at this age range already have that laced look to them and are undeniably black necked. Any ideas? Chick is approx 6-7...

I'm new to chickens...can anyone help identify the sex of this chick?

The comb was what started to worry me. There is little to no comb development on any of my other chicks, but they are all different breeds. Hope we don't have to rehome this one!

Give me pictures of your chickens and I'll try to sex them

This is our Barnevelder chick. Born approx 4/1/15 (possibly a day or two prev). Day the chick came home: One week later: And today (tomorrow is when I normally take their weekly photos to see progression) barnevelder chick is on the far right

Watery poo with a string of orange/red (blood??) from my chick!

I had just gotten done handling the chick and put him/her back in the brooder. The chick (a Barnevelder we have tentatively named Annie) fluffed feathers and then squatted to poo and it came out almost all clear with a hint of the normal colors in the center. At the end of it was a string of...

I'm new to chickens...can anyone help identify the sex of this chick?

I have a horribly sinking feeling it's a rooster. We purchased our chicks from a local hatchery (only other place we found around here with chicks was Tractor Supply Co...and most of theirs were straight runs). We purchased 2 EE (Hedwig and Beatrice), 1 Cuckoo Maran (Gloria), 1 Welsummer (Fiona)...
