    Is this egg shrink wrapped?

Ok I did read that. I have incubated chicks many times, but this is the first with ducklings so this is a new experience

    Is this egg shrink wrapped?

I am incubating six duck eggs. Three have hatched. Is this one shrink wrapped? I can't tell if I should intervene or not. Yesterday was "hatching" day. Also there is very little room for the three that hatched and I know your not supposed to open the lid?

Should I candle day twenty three?

Hi. I have incubated 12 eggs and list electricity for hours twice during incubation. So far I have five chicks. I had to assist one because it was shrink wrapped. If I shine a light thru the window of the incubator I can see life in the eggs. Could they be shrink wrapped? Delayed in growth from...

Should I take the chicks out of the incubator?

Thank you. I would say the first one hatched about twelve hours ago. Also ATM no other eggs are pipped. But if I hold this light right at the plastic window I can slightly see the chicks in the shell and I'm checking the nine out of twelve and there's life in each shell yet. So I should just...

Is this newly hatched chuck going to be ok?

My first chick of the twelve eggs I'm incubating hatched. Is the cord hanging from it supposed to have been sucked up by the chick? I'm not sure what it is. Thank you

Egg growth at a different rate?

Since I haven't incubated in a few years I decided I didn't want the incubator I had. It held 41 eggs and was big. So I sold that and got a new little modern incubator the holds just 12 eggs but I am LOVING it! The humidity has been an almost perfect 50 the whole time. And you as the water on...

Egg growth at a different rate?

Yes I am and you are right. I have incubated so many times but it has been awhile so I'm a little less confident. I could be wrong about them being bigger and smaller. I never had the electric go out when I was incubating and for so many hours. I candled them all after the electric came back on...

Egg growth at a different rate?

Yes all twelve of them are alive. I saw them move. But there are a few I really feel are not at the same growth rate as others.
