I have a Plymouth Rock sitting on eggs but each time one hatches she pecks it to death. Now my my mottled bantam Cochin did the same to one of her hatches. They continue to sit but should I remove the rest of the eggs? I've lost three
We've looked high and low and haven't found a trace of our gosling. The others won't leave their pen. They were pretty traumatized by the whole thing. It was a high speed get away for them. They hid amongst the rocks in our waterfall down to the creek where they swim. We have a Koi pond on...
I have a bantam Cochin frizzle rooster named Doug. A mottled Bantam cochinhen named Henrietta, a white bantam Cochin named Pearl, a Plymouth Rock named Mary Jane , a lemon blue Cochin named Rutie and a Maran named Rosie. And... A handful of cross bred chicks.
My husband thought he saw a river otter or mink this afternoon at about 4:30 down near the creek where our ducks and Sebastopol goslings spend the day. Now we're missing our male gosling. What do you think?

No, we don't but I have a little chick hatching in the incubator as we speak and I thought maybe they could bond. We may pick up a couple of Sebastopol goslings from this person near by. His are 3 or 4 days old.
Good morning Lydia, the hole is a bit bigger, the little gosling peeps a lot, especially when I cheer him on. Egg wiggles a lot. I have the humidity maintained and I left some music playing when I left for work. It's killing me but my sweet husband will check on him today. I have been...
Been pipping since this morning. There is a crack now! Finally! I will read Petes guide again! I just don't want to disturb the natural course of events. I will keep you posted!
Thank you Lydia! It's Mother's Day and we can hear our little gosling peeping (pipping)! I am so excited and trying to let Mother Nature take its course!! So excited!
