Ya, who knows? I just received my replacement chicks today and they all look much better, minus one chick with splayed legs. I'm keeping them TOTALLY separate from everyone else.... Just in case

I have been doing my best to separate them as symptoms appear. Although every morning I wake up all the brooders have more chicks affected. I currently have a pen for for the hatchery birds, a pen for the farm store birds, and a pen for the sick birds. This just sucks.

I bought 20 chicks from the farm store and got 25 from McMurray Hatchery. Day 1 was great... Day 2, all of the chicks from the hatchery were lethargic. I separated them immediately. Day 3 lost 5 chicks from hatchery, but the rest looked OK. Day 4, all good. Day 5, lost 7 hatchery chicks...

It does have feathers legs! I'll go count the toes :) I'll check the other ones to see if they are in stock at the hatchery. Thank you!

So all of these chicks came from an assorted rare-breed chicken package from McMurray hatchery. The first 2 chicks have beards (hard to tell in picture) any guesses? Chick 1 Chick 2 And last but not least... I don't know what this one is:
