    Set a steel trap about 1 -2 ft. from the entrance to the den, cover very softly with leaves . maybe that will solve your fox problem. It has worked for several of my neighbors.

    I would about 18" of 2x4 wire on the bottom of my pens to keep anything from digging in. also, live traps would help tremendously. I keep 3 live traps set at all times around my place.     1st pic looks like a golden comet,which are good layers. 2nd pic, don't really know,looks like a sex link to me since orps have yellow legs and the one here appear to have white legs.
