I'm on day 19 of incubating a couple eggs. Last night I took the turner out and laid the eggs on the side.I guess I didn't notice the top of the incubator did not close all the way down and this morning when I checked on it the temp had dropped to 96.5 . It's was over night and we are 2 days...
I've been saying it was a welsummer for the past year but have never been sure...he's an older boy, was given to me. But I just started incubating eggs so I was wondering. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I am definitely and very "patiently" excited about getting eggs from these girls... I watched my grandfather raise chickens and now I'm doing it on my own wanting to teach my daughter!
I have 8 rirs and 3 doms, they are all about 18 weeks. Are there any certain signs of when they are getting close to laying? They are all free ranging also but have a coop with laying boxes in that they go into every night...
Welcome to BYC!! You shouldn't have any problems at all since they are that young! I mixed 10 two week old RIR's with 5 three week old Doms they turned out just fine, best of friends now!
