Would this be a problem for hatching if not what will the hatchlings look like will they even breed? Someone told me an a&m is a courtnix is this true?
Thanks for the reply yes I was talking about courtnix and a&ms I'm probably going to go with 1/2x1 for the bottom and 1" on the top and sides like u said
I had a 33% hatch rate
I think my humidity might have been a little too low
48-50% day 1-14 temp 99.5-100.1
Then 62-65% day 14-21 temp 99.8-100.2
I had a few stuck in their shells
Should I have helped them out? I was scared to help them out and loose heat and humidity in the bator
O also after they have hatched feed a 28% game bird feed that you will need to grind up to almost a powder with blender or ect keep a heat lamp on them and keep a close eye making sure they aren't too hot or to cold
I'm a newb or I'd help I just set 36 quail eggs last night 24 courtnix and 12 a&m from what I have read 45-50 humidity till the 14th day then stop turning and boost it up to 65-70 for the last 3 days and try ur best not to open it up and loose humidity or heat and keep temp around 99.5-99.9
Well I snoozed and lost out on the deal the guy sold it Thursday afternoon I was going to go look at picking them up this afternoon I well guess I'll just have to build me a pen and put some eggs in the bator :-)
Lol morning dove and a few ring neck yes they are small but I'll take what I can get I've never had quail but I will probably be trying some here in the next month r two :-)
$200.00 for the coop and 18 courtnix quail that are 15 weeks old
I'm excited to get into quail wanting them for eggs and butchering some I hatch and raise
Let me know what y'all think!!
