Yes they do haha. My silkie was like that too. My pekin bantam always sang but never got an egg from her. Now that it is winter where I am, I won't raise my hopes to high. :D

ChickenmammX4, do all your chooks dustbath at the same time? I have 4 that seem to do everything together lol. I'd be needing a pretty big tub to fit all 4 in. That's an easy idea though which I'd consider provided I come across a big enough tub. Thanks for the pic - your chooks are lovely :)

Now that's interesting. What do you all think. She does have the black bit on her mane. She was bought as a chick under the breed of RIR. That's why its confusing.. plus the tail too. When I google chicken breeds sold in Australia, ProductionReds isn't listed.
