    Yes they do haha. My silkie was like that too. My pekin bantam always sang but never got an egg from her. Now that it is winter where I am, I won't raise my hopes to high. :D

    The other pullets are likely to peck. You have to watch over them and protect them if need be.

    Fischnchix, that would be great if I could build half of something like that. I'm not sure about the lime in soil. Phaps someone more knowledgeable than me could answer that. All the best with the building. I'm sure your chooks would love it.

    ChickenmammX4, do all your chooks dustbath at the same time? I have 4 that seem to do everything together lol. I'd be needing a pretty big tub to fit all 4 in. That's an easy idea though which I'd consider provided I come across a big enough tub. Thanks for the pic - your chooks are lovely :)

    Now that's interesting. What do you all think. She does have the black bit on her mane. She was bought as a chick under the breed of RIR. That's why its confusing.. plus the tail too. When I google chicken breeds sold in Australia, ProductionReds isn't listed.
