Yes they are very similar. The feral chickens on Hawaii are descendants from backyard chickens.
Chickens do not care about other hens chicks. If chicks try to steal their food, they get attacked. A broody protects her chicks. If she is no longer around the chicks have a hard time.
Thats why...
Every year is different.
Last year we travelled abroad for a vacation around Christmas.
This year we hosted part of my family for dinner. No one has to travel far.
Only on outside furniture.
I don’t have any house-pets.
Chickens are not allowed to come inside except for medical attention.
The neighbours cats are not welcome inside our house either.
The table from my parents in law. I alway loved the colour and the design. It has a table top that can turn and fold. It’s adjustable from 4 to 6 people.
To be honest it didn’t look as good as the photo I added from a recipe site. I forgot to make a picture of the one in question before eating it.
It tasted great. Just the way I would imagine according to the embedded photo.
I should have put a chicken on the Christmas cake we had. It was snowy white with lots of powdery sugar.
Limoncello tiramisu without lemon topping. :p.
No entry.
Aaa a
I love doing Christmas gatherings this way. We had such an agreement when MDH’s mother was still around. Christmas presents or homemade specials like Christmas puddings are not a Dutch tradition as in other countries anyway.
Now we decide about a month in advance what we want to do. No...
Are you sure the fighting is going way beyond establishing the pecking order?
Maybe try to open everything up and only interfere if blood is drawn? Let the chickens decide for themselves where they want to sleep.
If it doesn’t work, can you make a video and post it on YouTube or Vimeo. ?
We didn’t do presents this year. Bot me and my husband got a few for hosting a Christmas dinner anyway.
A bottle Chardonnay. Candles. And more chickens to help with the dishes. 😍 😸
I was very pleased bc I don’t like receiving useless expensive presents too. These towel are a perfect match...
I believe blood spots are nothing to worry about if it’s only temporary. One reason is possibly large eggs in young laying hens why a blood vessel is torn.
Maybe someone else can tell you more. :idunno
The supplier where I buy chicken feed gives a discount with larger numbers too. Not a good idea though with just a few chickens. Its not fresh after a few months. Most vitamins deteriorate fast.
