Sorry, I am stealing this thread for a moment. I have 6 week old chicks that are outside. Got some 3 week old chickies a few days ago (from the same place the first three came from), and they have been out playing in the coop during the day happily. At night I have been bringing them in, but I'm...
Yea that is why I only got one. I love the way they look though, and hopefully with a leghorn I'll be getting one reliable egg a day, lol! my older chicks have more feathers coming in and the new hampshires are starting to get a gorgeous red color on their backs.
There is a ramp but I had it folded up :) . Yes I love the little chicken faces that pop up when I come out the back door! If I have the ramp down (it is down almost all the time now) I can peek around the corner and they come flying out when they see me lol.

Oh, the...
Isn't it addicting? If I didn't live in the city I would probably have at least ten more if I could.I have three kids and I am so excited for all the eggs. I bake a lot! We have six chicks right now and can't get any more. Boo! Thank you for your service!
I lost a chick last week too, and was worried for the remaining three. They are fine and just moved in to their "big chicken" coop. Have three more chicks on the way- I hope they all do well! Welcome, I am a newbie too!
Hi there! I just found this site. I am just starting out with chickens. I have two New Hampshire chicks and one BO chick who just moved in to their brand new coop! Also have three new chicks on the way- one barred rock, one white rock, and one EE. We are located in Tacoma, WA. Can't wait to...
