    Help! Chicks dying at hatch

Another is hatching! Very dry, I've added a miniscule drop of water at a time to the membrane. Its opaque white. And, its not zipping around the end, started in the middle and is just chipping away at it's initial pip. I've not done anything further than the water as it pops off shell. Just...

    Help! Chicks dying at hatch

Humidity is up to 60%.... Lid almost closed, temp right around 100'. Praying the slight fluctuations in temp doesn't kill them. Geez this is why I dont hatch, mama birds usually do such a good job, and its much easier on my nerves lol. :fl

    Help! Chicks dying at hatch

OK, I moved them into an empty drawer with glass on top, propped open a bit to control heat, watching temp closely, added a second damp cloth as well as a tiny dish of water to try and boost humidity. Thank you all for the advice! I'll keep you posted. The one chick that hatched this morning...

    Bunnies and Dogs???

Its very sweet of you to be a foster mom! Of possible, I would keep the crate in a closed room, and introduce the cat and dog individually, and gradually. Less stress for all. Also, giving the rabbits a hiding place helps. Even a cardboard box in the crate works. Good luck!

A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I'm sure. I gave her a full 35 days, an extra week, just to be sure she was really going to stick there. This was a week of truly broody behavior, after the clutch was laid. Idk why not a single one has hatched. Or well I guess it may have tried, but mom is a dragon so who knows what's under...
