They have a gazebo, thank you. All our plants are in pots. Trees grow if they find ground water but near ones house that tends to be water pipes so not good.. The 'cold weather' is a drop to around 80f. And it rains around once every two years.. So trees not great. Lol
Her legs are very far apart compared to other duck. She sits down after walking a short distance only. It seems a struggle. When she sits one leg splays out to side. In pool she likes to stand on one leg and work one leg out to the side, like a ballerina at the barre.
Today was a "feels like" temp of 58 c. That's 138 degrees Fahrenheit! I sprayed the hose a lot to cool the girls down and they spent the day in the pool. I wonder if anyone can tell me how to clip flight feathers?
And is it possible to post a video of Daphne walking to see if her legs are cure...
Emily completely settled in and Daphne, whose legs are still splayed, trying to walk much more these days.

Emily, the new arrival is sticking close to Daphne who is in charge and showing her the ropes of a household that also includes 2 dogs, two tortoises, two budgerigars and a cat!

Tomorrow a friend arrives for lonely Daphne! I found an Organic poultry farmer (pretty amazing for Abu Dhabi) who is giving me one!
Anyway, I have no idea how this is going to go.. Any advice on introducing them please?

She's fine but REALLY lonely. Very well fed and I've finally sourced proper duck food that I just bought back from England. Wings better, great plumage but splayed legs.
Thanks Lydia, Will have to wait until September probably for a buddy. We are in the United Arab Emirates and it is very very hot. We bring the duck inside in the heat of the day when it exceeds 120 F. With two ducks that just would be too messy. I intend to get her a friend and build a proper...
