    Pullet Crowing?

It's been a while, but I have a final update! I waited it out since I was unsure, but I definitely have a cockerel. Huge comb and earlobes, sickle feathers on his tail, hackle and saddle feathers, and spurs, plus tons more crowing, and not a single egg. Thanks to everyone who helped me try to...

    Pullet Crowing?

Update! There was a mix up, and this bird is three months old, not six months.

    Pullet Crowing?

I suppose if physical features aren't helpful here, I can wait to see if I get any eggs. Does anyone know about what age I should expect eggs?

What tells you that? Just so I know

    Pullet Crowing?

Here is a picture of the feathers on the neck. I can try a clearer picture later if need be.

    Pullet Crowing?

Yes, bald around the eyes, just darker skin that matches the black feathers.

    Pullet Crowing?

Well it's definitely a crow. As days go by, it sounds more and more like a full crow instead of just an attempt. Compared to the boys she was with, her tail isn't sickle shaped, smaller waddle and ears, and an overall different body shape. What really throws me of is the crowing! I had another...

    Pullet Crowing?

Yes it is difficult to take pictures of black animals. I can try outdoor pictures later today and post them. Also, I'm not positive, but I bought it at a show and was told it's a six month old rosecomb pullet. That's what the papers said and everything. They weren't 100% sure if it was male or...

    Thank you both :)

    Pullet Crowing?

Hopefully these are clearer. My phone doesn't take the best pictures and my camera is dead. Plus someone doesn't want to sit still for pictures. And could that be a spur?

    Pullet Crowing?

I can try to get a better one up in few minutes

    Pullet Crowing?

Thanks for the reply. How can you tell? I saw her (him?) with the other roosters she lived with and she looked very different from them.

    Pullet Crowing?

Hi everyone, I recently got a six month old Rosecomb pullet. She stays inside the house and has free range of the second floor. For the past few weeks she has been crowing every morning. It's not a full crow though, it just sounds like she's trying to do it. She does this about a dozen times...

    Still Okay To Feed?

Hey everyone! I have some feed left over from when my chicken passed away in April and was wondering how to tell if it is still good or not. I'll actually be getting some birds soon (likely today) and if I can feed them the leftover food, that would be great. I was feeding her game bird...

    Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

I'll be getting some at our county fair, and that's not until August. I'm hoping to get some Polish chickens this year! But it depends on what breeds they have. There are always a ton of chickens there for sale!

    Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

Hi how have you been? None yet, not until August most likely!

    Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

My finches are all siblings too. They were born and grew up together, so you'd think they wouldn't have problems getting used to each other! And the big cage they were all in was huge! I'm glad your hens get along! Hopefully my new babies aren't aggressive toward each other at all once I get them!

    Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

Aww it isn't good when they attack the others like that. I have four finches- three females and a male. We had to separate the male because he was going after the girls, and just a few weeks ago, we had to separate one of the girls because the others were picking on her and pulled all of the...

    Unbalanced and Lethargic Hen

Hopefully he wasn't stolen for that :( I think it's absolutely disgusting that people force animals to fight just for entertainment.. I think if someone had stolen him, your dogs definitely would have been barking. Same for if something would have attacked. Is it possible he managed to get out...
