I have 9 hens altogether, 8 RIR and 1 Leghorn. They have a nice safe coop, they have clean water, I give them the same laying pellets I have always given them mixed with hen scratch, I have oyster shells laid out for them for whenever they want it. They all look healthy to me, I see no issues...
ok Im new to chickens. this is actually my first flock. not sure but Im thinking my hen is a roo. just looks manly! lol! haven't heard any crowing, haven't seen any mating. shouildn't they be crowing by 22 weeks? more experienced chickens owners, is this a hen or roo??

about 3 weeks ago I found my first 2 eggs from my RIRs. Then I would find only 1 for awhile, occasionally 2. In the last week i've had pretty consistently 2 eggs. The other 6 RIR are the same age as the ones laying. Almost all of them are doing the "squat" thing. Wish they would come on...
