I cant save the eggs during the summer - as i posted they reduce production of eggs at the beggining of July and i got them at 2-3 days old on may 20 2021
Its California, Los Angeles. The weather are good. they are not molting yet. The breeds: Russian Orpigon, Cochin buff Orpigon, White Leghorn, Americana, Easter Egger, Jersey Giant
I have 12 young hens (2-3 years old). For some reason they start laying 2-4 eggs daily (sometimes 1 or 0) for last 4 month . They are good breeds that should produce more eggs per day - 6 month ago, i got 10,11 and ones 12 eggs. How I could fix this issue
They are free range and it’s plenty of space there, I give them chicken food and provide 4 sticks of apples. Tomato, cucumber, broccoli every day. They have swings and some chicken toys. Also I give them cabbage or lettuce in the mesh hanger
I check my hens- both damaged and good - all of them are clean - no any mites found (the skin are clean). Can it be from previous mites (like 3-4 month ago)?
We are in California and we don’t have any rosters, only hens - some of them losing their feathers and some are in good condition. Also even they are losing their feathers, they continue to lay eggs
I noticed that my chickens losing their feathers and its bold red spots. Is it normal? Also I noticed that they are sound very strange early in the morning and start screaming every day at 7 am.

My hens 18 month old. I believe during the dog attack she lost less feathers and looks like after that her bold spot get bigger and its stay the same for several month. Another chicken lost her feather on her butt , during the same accident and her feather grow back long time ago.
My chicken was attacked by a dog 3 month ago, but I was able to safe her life. Since that, I notice she lost her feathers and they not replaced. Also I did not see any feathers left somewhere in the coop or surrounding area. Can someone tell me what is wrong? All other chickens are ok, and did...
I discover this couple of month ago at the top of chicken coop and trying to clean coop with chlorine every day, I notice that it’s appear much less colony, but every time I came close to the coop, I am covered by this insects. How I could get rid of them? Can they hide on the citrus tree?
Thanks for everyone - 2 of my chickens like brand new no notice of any pox on them and 3 more still has it, but looks much better. They even start laying eggs.
I check inside the beak - its clean, I use Q-tip and apply iodine - looks like its help - they let me to do it and did not fight back, they just follow me to get more treatments :)
Will check on them tomorrow. How often I could use iodine? Is it OK to use it every day until its dried completely?
