I did not get a picture yet. I literally saw it right after she pooped, and scooped it up to take as a sample. I just googled what it looked afterwards. It looked exactly like the photos at the beginning of this thread.. her vet told her it was a form of coccidia Isospora not a worm.... just...
Hi there, I know it’s been awhile but did you ever figure out if this was the coccidia? Or worms? I literally just found these exac yellow things in my chickens poop today! I immediately ran a sample over to the vet, but searching online, your post is the only thing I can find that resembles...
Thank you for researching! I appreciate it. I’ve done a lot of research also and with any kind of pox virus they all end up drying and scabing over. Hers have never had a scab. They literally shrink up and disappear. Not even a scar. It’s so strange.
Yeah I mean that’s kind of what I had though, just so weird why she would keep getting it in random spots on her wattles, and no one else is having issues.
Hmmmm. I did about two weeks ago... but I. Pretty sure she had the two small ones on her wattle before that. The ones on this EE seem to be hard and crusty maybe? Pepper’s are definitely softer than that. You can tell they have fluid or something in them.
No they aren’t. But it’s always on her wattles... this big one below her eye is the first one I’ve seen off of her wattles. I don’t think I have ever seen an ant in the coop/run... I’m sure there have got to be some, but not enough to where she’s constantly getting bitten on her face and no one...
Has anyone ever seen white bumps like these before?? She’s gotten them before on her wattles. They don’t scab or dry up they just start to shrink and eventually go away. She’s gotten them before on her wattles, on the other side. And once on the back of her neck (only reason I knew about it was...
Hey. I just adopted these two EEs. I was told they were 12 week pullets... I'm wondering though, they seem much younger than 12 weeks and the gray one is awfully bold at times. .they were both from a pretty bad situation and not cared for so they are afraid of everything. And I think pretty...
Hello,
Just an update.. I took my sweet Winnie into a vet yesterday because I just couldn't handle watching her suffer anymore. He picked her up and right away said that the crop was a secondary issue. He flipped her onto her back and she immediately stopped breathing. Her comb and face...
Its going to take 2-4 days for delivery for the ACS . I called every feed store in a 20 mile radius.. no one has it... Have you ever tried doing the monistat? or another anti fungal?
Hi There,
My Buff Orp, Winnie is having some sort of crop issue. I noticed her on Friday acting really lethargic and not wanting to free range with the others. I isolated her. Sat/Sun she drank a ton of water, but would not eat. She would perk up if I offered her Mealworms.
Yesterday no...
Hi - today i found this crazy chicken poop! not blood, like tiny mucous balls.. I have 5 hens & 1 Rooster. i have no idea which one this came from. No one is acting sick or lethargic. Everyone is eating & drinking like normal. A couple of them are going through a pretty horrific molt right now...
Anyone have any clue what mix this guy might be? I'm assuming it's a boy although it's afraid of everything and has yet to crow.... Has the coolest coloring just curious what the mix may be.
