Where at central ohio? I run a wild animal control business .. follow the feathers , if you cant then its a bird of prey. And need help catching and giving to a bird rehabilitor to hold for awhile. There is some things to consider and may need professonal help= money.
True ..but in a Federal court ..you have a right to life liberty and persuit of happyness .. geese are protected but you can get a permit to kill them..Your happyness is formost then letting all your birds being eatten..with some people their chickens are like family.. I say tangle abunch of...
Many raccoons can come in at night i have caught many at a job ,someones poorly setup of a coop. People call me and say my chickens are getting killed , look to see the coop all messed up ( Holes)or no fence.. Feel sorry for them but its there own fault.
raccoons will eat anything...
well if your birds are important to you ..set up a dozen snares and catch these animals or your birds will die .. because animals can learn to get around the fences or under them . And alot of people think that you dont have to hurt any animals , but what happens is that animal overpopulate...
There is no chance a animal is going to jump back over and not leave a feather ..have to walk the whole fence and check for feathers..and holes under fence no holes or feathers ..then birds of pray.

I am a Wild Animal Control Operator out of Ohio , what i get payed for is to figure out what is the problem and set traps for that animal.
what it could be is a hawk or weasel. But hawk is a big day time killer, cooper hawks attack my birds all the time.
Sorry about your loss...
