    Rooster over-mating hens

    All he does is crow and pace. Its kinda mean to lock him in his enclosure cause he can see his girls. On the other hand the hens feathers are starting to come in. Maybe in fourteen weeks he can meet our new hens. Maybe 16 hens is enough for him. Lol

    It can't be mites or lice in my flock. Right before Christmas I Seven dusted coop birds roost. I removed 100 percent of old bedding replaced with new and seven dusted that. I've lost a whole flock before to mites so imn pretty sure its not pests just mean hens.

    Coop and Run advice needed

    Please go the extra step and give them a small shelter in the run. My chickens love it. Extra security as well since aerial predators can't always see them. Hope this helped. Take care. Post pics of your girls soon.
