    Thanks for the input. Disappointing but I'm already attached after 6 weeks. I have a small bantam rooster that is a real pain, attacks and creates a ruckus in the flock daily. May be finding a new home for him.

    I'm so confused because while they appear to be saddle feathers the Langshan does not go after the hens like the bantam rooster does and she/he runs from the bantam rooster when he's trying to mate and he has tried to mate "her" as well. Driving me nuts. :)

    I'll also add that my little bantam rooster has tried to mate with "her" a few times but not as often as others. Is that any indication?

    Thanks, I'm hoping...my niece is pretty sure it's a rooster I keep telling her to shhhh. Lol. A few weeks ago she made a loud sound that did not sound like a crow but looked like one. She did it two of three times in a three day span but nothing since.
