Ooh, I do hope they are all pullets. The Mille #1 is quite a bit larger than the other 2 birds. Would that be the breed or indicating a roo?
Thanks for all your help.
3 chicks from the TSC bantam bin, and curious to know what you guys think they are in both gender and breed. Let me know if you need any additional photos of them
Thanks!
Anyone have any experience using trays in a coop? We are currently in the construction stage of our coop, and am wondering if pull-out trays would help cleaning... I have rabbits, and the cage has pullout trays, which are easy to dump and stick back into the cage.
We are planning a 3 x 3 coop...
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about that little chick
You did the best you could.
Have fun with your new babies... and don't forget us... I want photos LOL!
Ok, here goes.
We're planning on getting chicks within the next 2 weeks (approx). They would be between 1 day and 1 week old. (We're going to drive to pick them up, not ship them)
Then, they'll be in the brooder August - November. By November, they'll be around 4 months old. Will they be...
Alright, I'm confusing myself with all the dimensions on a coop.
For 3 chickens, would 5 x 5 work? Or bigger? 4 square feet per chicken, right? We're getting Orps (I think), so they will need a lot of space...
Am I figuring this right?
Never had a brain for math
We definitely need a hardy breed, as we have cold winters...
I've heard that Orps are hardy as well as Austalorps.
If you had to choose between a Orp and a Austra, what would you pick?
Hi there!
I was wondering if anyone has any experiences (good or bad!) with Green Roof Chicken Coop? (http://greenroofchickencoop.com/) Is this book worth purchasing? www.BuildingAChickenCoop.com
We're building a coop, and wondering what kind of plans are the best out there.
If anyone...
