It's changed in the last few days but it looks completely different from the rest that's why I thought it was a rooster(it's darker, it has a longer tail, green on its neck feathers but it was really slow on the comb & wattle but it has some now! I'll take a new picture tomorrow!
I thought maybe since I have an older rooster that crows they might not & im pretty sure I have a bard Rock & RIR rooster & they have never crowed & they are at the bottom of the pecking order!
Yep my sure fire way (as a 12 year old at the time) with leghorns was watching who laid the eggs and who behaved like a rooster (strutting, preening, chasing after hens...). Their skinny little bodies dont tell much. Roosters should be bigger than hens...but I had at least one runt.[/quote
Well...
is this a rooster or hen it's around 6 1/2 months & I have 6 white leg horns & im only getting 5 eggs & all but one has a big flopped I've comb & they all have wattles but this one is just bigger than the rest? The feathers & body's all look the same to me!
