Ok, thank you. They were all yellow with a touch of buff on their backs when I got them 5 days ago and suddenly a few days later they had these dark wings.
A friend found these babies alone in the street with no momma in sight on a busy road loaded with speeding cars so of course she called the friend she knew who would take them...me. Any idea of what breed they may be or is it too early to tell? These babes are about 6-7 days old.
I have left over shredded dry beet pulp that I normally add to my horse feed but would like to know if I can feed it to my chickens? I wouldsoak it in water first if I can give it to them.
That's too bad the breeder doesn't know, as you say, because these chicks were in the poultry education display at our state fair. Seems rediculous to mislead and miss educate so many people. I love these babies regardless, I just don't want to be miseducated myself. What are the differences...
