Ihave had the same problem 31 to lock down and 21 hatch . this is my 3 try and I have one more set to go but I am confused.any help will be appreaciated.

I use pine shaving covered with paper towels till they know the differents between their feed and the chips. Use several layers and remove the top ones when dirty. DO NNOT USE CEDER CHIPS THE ARE POISION TO CHICKS!!!! Good luck

I just hatched out 13 production red x black copper marans chicks. I got 2 white black on wings, 3 soilid blues, 4 soilid black,1 red,3 a mixture of black & red. I can't wait till the pullets start to lay eggs to see how big & dark they are. Good luck on your project. Keep me up to date please.
