5 Week Old Chick Suddenly Unable to Walk

2 days ago I discovered my mixed breed chick unable to walk properly. She walks along using her "knees" with her feet flat in front of her and can't balance when I try to stand her up properly. A few days ago I noticed she was a bit wobbly when walking in the broader but now she can't stand. She...

Well I will not be putting any of them down unless it gets really bad, that would be a bit drastic at this point. I am just trying to nip it before it spreads/gets any worse.

Bumblefoot on Quail and I need help ASAP

The one who's core I pulled seems to be doing better along with some of the others but the one who has had it the longest and one of the new cases don't have much improvement. I think I have made a few tiny enemies as well, whenever I go up to the pen about 2 of the ones I have treated will...

Bumblefoot on Quail and I need help ASAP

I will be separating all who are infected into a hospital pen with soft shavings to be treated, I think it may have been the type of bedding I used for them because I had switched out temporarily to a different brand of shavings and they seemed to be thicker and harder. Their pen is a raised pen...

These girls aren't chickens, they are quail, which is why they are so hard for me to work on. And alrighty, goodnight. The amoxicillin was mentioned in the article you linked also.

Bumblefoot on Quail and I need help ASAP

Thank you for your suggestion, I will look for that at the local CVS. Do you have any experience using amoxicillin? I have heard that it will help with the infection and I just happen to have some and I was going to try it tomorrow.

Bumblefoot on Quail and I need help ASAP

I would prefer not to have to cut into the quail's feet though I have been taking off the scabs to treat but I am completely unable to wrap their feet because of them being so small, so I bet what I have done so far has been in vain without being able to wrap their feet. I would prefer a soak or...

This is my first post on this site and don't know if this is the appropriate place to post something about bumblefoot, I am just kind of panicky at the moment.

Bumblefoot on Quail and I need help ASAP

I first discovered bumblefoot on one of my quail about 2-3 weeks ago and have been trying to treat it with various things because the only local feed store doesn't have anything that I need but they did sell me something called Terramycin eye stuff in a small application container and said it...
