I used Swat on mine around the face and under the chin. It seems to work well but I sprinkled Sevin dust in their nesting area. They were gone for about a year but when chicks hatch out they seem to come back. They're easier to control in winter.
Thats so funny. My first ducks were labeled Pekin but they turned out to be runners. When I got them they were little and yellow and when they started getting the fawn color on their cheeks I thought they were dirty.
Your ducks look nice and healthy and two is a good number to have if you want...
Every time I've bought different eggs from the same seller they mark them with a pencil. Make sure you read up on hatching shipped eggs, it can be a real challenge.
I just found these on my ducks today. I read other comments and tried SWAT on my duck but now I see them on chickens and other ducks. I have sevin but was wondering how you guys are doing with yours.
Thanks Deb, So sad to hear about your goats. One of our little girls showed up so we lost three. Terry came home from work early to fix the coop. Since they're out during the day we're going to cover the door with plywood. Some of our other coops have the same kind of doors, we really didn't...
We had eight young pullets and we lost four, There were a few feathers in the coop but none outside. Terry doesn't think a fox could do this but since this was the first time I've seen one I just think it would be too big a coincidence.
