Something got my female duck and her 3 babies that are a few weeks old are swimming around in the pond and won't let us near them. What should I do?

[@]gander007 thanks. I let the ducks out of their winter house for the first time this spring. They immediately went to the pond and it looked like the black duck was going to be drowned by the white one. It would appear they aren't both females.

Anyone have suggestions on building a structure? How much room do 2 muscovies need for the winter? Btw,what is their life expectancy?

Thanks for the info but I am involved in dog rescue groups and there are animal abusers on craigslist an Kijiji. Not saying all, but I am overly careful. The lady who wanted the duck suggested this site when I met her so I am hoping she sees the ad. Thank you though.
