I do have quite a few boxes (we just moved to township out of the city so that's why we got the girls). As soon as my husband gets home we will set something up for them. Right now got to get my other 4 kids to bed. :) thank you all for the help- hockeyXmom

We got these chicks kind of spur of the moment. Their coop is almost finished, we just had a funeral this past weekend that delayed things. We do have a garage we could put them in for night time that would keep them safe. They coop is 5x5x4 so even then they may need a little added warmth come...- hockeyXmom

Is anyone up? My girls need somewhere to sleep. My prior arrangements of a tote in the bathroom is no longer working. They are working togetherto knock the top off and jumping out. My girls love it outside but I'm afraid they will freeze. I don't know when they were hatched (guessing they about 5 weeks old) but they do have quite a bit of feathers. I guess when will my girls be ready to stay in just their coop? How do I handle winter? We have a roughly 5x5 coop started. We finally moved out of the city so we got a late start this year with the chicks.- hockeyXmom

Hi everyone! My family and I are new to chickens in MI. We have 4 ida reds (not sure of age maybe 4 weeks). We haven't finished their coop yet been salvaging wood to be cost effective. Any advice for a newbie family? Thank you- hockeyXmom

Hi everyone! My family and I are new to the chicken scene. 10 days ago we got 4 ida reds.we are sure on exact age but guessing maybe 3or4 weeks old. I love my girls! They recognize my voice already which is awesome. My kids adore the chicks also they love playing with them and carrying them...- hockeyXmom
