I understand chickens need to gain some extra weight to help build fat stores in the body which insulates from cold.
I see people like corn as it is calorie dense and chickens like it.
As I went to buy corn for my chickens I realized I didn't know which form was the most digestible...
I have looked at many feeds. I find one I really like but it isn't in stock anywhere. TSC stores appear to be sold out across New York...
Oh wait, Amazon is selling 10 pound bags for $33. Arcata Pet Supplies, shipping about $60.

Just curious if anyone else has had this problem.
I have almost the same issue as the person who started the original thread but a little different situation.
The chickens had a great summer, they are somewhere between pets and well,chickens. Anyway, I have gotten quite attached to them especially the older hen who turned up out of nowhere...
