    That is what I meant but my father used the term for any type of auxillary clamp style light too. I guess I picked up that habit. The type of light I'm using is not the type you described. Although I use one like that when I work on my jeeps the one on my coop is a brooder style.

    Yeah. That's the issue then. It never did that in the last heavy rains we got but this most recent it did. I'll have to find a way to correct it.

    My partner and i just built a coop and got 4 Rhode Island reds from a nearby farm. We are located in Columbia Missouri. We are getting two more chickens this weekend Cochin bantams. Hope to meet some local folks into backyard chickens Thanks.

    Extended pallet run

    Yes I have made fences from pallets before. Super easy and cheap! I made my coop from all reclaimed lumber and pallets. They are easy to disassemble and use the slats for siding or fencing! In fact I'm going to use pallets to make a run as well. Just need to go get more which are never in short...
