Is she a he? 12 week old Easter egger

The barred rock is also 12 weeks. Got from a farm, so probably mixed. I thought she’s very white too but doesn’t really have any other roo characteristics to me

    Need Breed identification help please

These babies are almost 4 weeks old and I'm trying to confirm what kind of chickens I have. I ordered 6 Easter Eggers and 8 assorted brown layers. I know which ones are the Easter Eggers. The others I need help with. I think the red ones are rhode island reds? The black with white spots are...

    Just separated my broody hen...

I took the eggs and marked them. I'm waiting for her to go back to her spot. I can't leave her up there though. If I leave her there, I can't get eggs that the others lay without her getting mean. How do I move her properly? Is it normal for her to bury the eggs and go sit somewhere else?

She's been in there about 3 hours and she's still not sitting on the new eggs. How long will the eggs be "good"?

    Just separated my broody hen...

And gave her fertile eggs. She covered the eggs with bedding and has been running around her area. I assume she is just checking things out, but how long should it take her to sit on the eggs? I took the eggs she has been sitting on because they aren't fertile

    Broody hen hatching eggs questions!

I'm fairly new to raising chickens. Two of my buff orpingtons have gone broody after only a month of laying. I am having fertile eggs shipped to me this week and I want to let the hens sit on them. I have a separate area for them, secluded from the other hens. Should I just put the eggs in with...

4 month old barred rock roo or hen?

I ask because "she" has gotten really aggressive lately and chases my 3 year old son relentlessly. He doesn't even want to go outside when the chickens are out anymore.

    New here! Breed questions

Also, out of 14 chicks, all have fully feathered, long wings and tail feathers, except 2. At 2 weeks old, is this a sign that they're roosters? The 2 have short little wings and no tail feathers at all. They're still little fuzz butts like when they were a day old. They're the same size as the...

    New here! Breed questions

Here's some better pictures of their feathers. They're 2 weeks 1 day old. What do you mean by a derivation? A mixed breed? I ordered them from a hatchery so I figured they would be a specific breed. Not that it matters, I'm just curious. Is that still too early to tell though? J

    New here! Breed questions

Can yall help me figure out what breeds these are? I think I've got 3 australorps, 2 barred rocks and I'm not positive about the others. I ordered "assorted brown layers".
