Just got a lifetime supply of Valben... 500ml @ 57$. A prev thread said 1/2 cc per standard size chicken, given orally. Repeat in 10 days. Sound right?

They sell layer pellets. They are in Canada. Check your local feed stores.
Last egg laid was well over a week ago, maybe two weeks. She is not molting . Wormer used was Worminator, two drops directly in throat per instructions. She has been dusted with d.e. in case of parasites .
She survived the night with help from a heat lamp. My daughter is checking on...
We noticed recently our golden sex link Amber is not doing well. No other birds are sick. All were recently wormed due to worms being spotted in some poop. Unknown which bird had worms so we assumed all did. This was when we noticed Amber was extremely thin, and that she was getting weak...
Well, the hatchery missed this one. Russet, is a HE, not a SHE. I'm in Lamar County Tx, and he is free to a good home. Production Red, so far he is gentle and quite healthy. PM me if interested.
Sorry to dig up an ancient thread but we just found out that one of our production reds is a roo too. S/He is 2x the size of the hens the same age. Just about 16wks, starting to crow in the mornings which is what tipped us off.
Not sure what to do now. Was only wanting hens. The two...
We have a full width 8' roof vent, front and rear on the coop, plus 4 screened windows roughly 1sqft each, plus where the people door is, we have screened off about 1/3 of it with hardware cloth. 13 teenage birds in a 64sqft blding plus run. Under the coop is an 8x8' gravel area for shade too.
My kids named our chicks.
Octavia and Ophelia (black sex links)
Russet and Ginger (production Reds)
Oddball (our mystery chick)
Samantha and Deanna (guineas)
The Twins (2 buff orps)
Amber (gold sex link)
The guineas we hope are hens. If not it'll be Sam and/or Dean.
Added the more chicks yesterday. Got two Buff Orps, and what they said was a Gold sex link. It was in the tub with the orps and the tub said RIRs, but the old guy at Atwood's said the RIRs were all gone and it was a Gold sex link.
Thanks for this thread. I had to change out their bedding this morning as the little buggers had dumped the waterer. I put in new bedding and fresh water, and a lump of dirt for them to explore.
