if you work with birchen cockerels you need few generation of breeding and you end up with a good marans type in your BCM . agree with you there is no point keep working with Kong ,

your cockerels has a wrong shape V shape they chest has no depth at all . we need to introduce a log shape body type to your flock , I think the Birchen cockerels from @Bantambird will help you do that , I notice you hens have a deep chest but not the roosters ,
