My Pekin duck suddenly got sick and died in less than a day

Thank you all for your feedback. I found out she probably didn't lay an egg after all. I have another pekin who I assumed was still too young to lay. I had one egg everyday for a bit of time so assumed it was Rosie. I still have one egg a day so it must have been the other duck. I have no...

My Pekin duck suddenly got sick and died in less than a day

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can shed light why what seemed like a perfectly healthy duck would all of a sudden become ill and die in less than 24 hours. She was a 2 year old pekin. She laid an egg that morning and when I let the chicks and ducks out yesterday morning, she and the other 5...

Chocolate Tom Butchered at 9 months

    Aggressive turkey

Hi all, I wanted to give an update. It's been nearly a week since I changed the food and today was a notable change. I will combine to monitor. As for freezer camp, our intention when we got him was for Thanksgiving. After we brought him home we learned he was still too young. Frankly, I...

    Aggressive turkey

Thank you, R2elk. This is good information and food for thought. I don't want him harming the other little guys. I understand 9 months is the best age for Heritages to attend "freezer camp". This gives him a full month more to plan my demise, which I have no doubt he has already spent...
