    This is what I was thinking. 2 are a bit smaller and very similar. Whereas the larger one has very thick legs and is quite large.

    6 weeks old now and it looks like one of the chicks is slightly darker than the others. What are your thoughts?

    These chicks are now 8 weeks old. Not the best photos but the light brown ones are nearly identical with the rooster being the dark one.

    I have 2 others the same age that haven't got any sign of the red comb. Does this mean they will be hens?

    Here is an updated photo of the 3 chicks i think are roos... 3 out of 5 know have their comb coming through so i'm guessing 3 boys, 2 girls???

    The barring on their wings has developed so much over the last few days. We are away for a few nights (friends are minding chicks) so I'm sure when We return they will have changed again. Will post more photos on Monday to show changes

    Thanks so much!! These are the first chicks we have ever had so are clueless about sexing them. We bought them from day old so our 2 young children could enjoy raising them. We bought them from a local breeder. I will post some better photos next week and see what you think then :) thanks again
