Those are great pictures. Thanks for posting them. I have 5 Baikals and have not had any nesting yet. I am hoping this year it will happen. This is one of my favorite ducks. I know this is an old thread but I hope others will post more pics and info about the species.

Thanks for the quick reply. I lost my hen over a year ago and I can not find anyone on this side of the Rockies that raises them any more.I know a couple other people that are also looking. I don't get on this site much anymore because it seems like there are few people using it unfortunatly.

I have a Wood Duck hen that tries to mate with many species and females of other species. I have seen her mate with a Northern Pintail and she produced one Pintail/Wood Duck cross in all the years I have had her. All of her other babies have been pure Wood Duck.
