Should I divide a 24"x15"x15" Nesting box into two boxes?

Okay, so I thought I'd provide an update on what I did since my chickens all started laying their eggs. I put a removable divider into the large nesting box which worked fine the first few weeks and then I noticed one chicken laying in the coop while two other occupied the other nest boxes. I...

7 mo. EE layed nice eggs wks, then weird eggs, now none in 3 days

Oops - me again. I should have added that I live in Austin Texas and the weather has been perfect the past few weeks so that shouldn't be an issue....

7 mo. EE layed nice eggs wks, then weird eggs, now none in 3 days

WARNING - This turned out to be much longer than you may want to read but I wanted to get as much info out as I could think of... Not sure if I'm over-thinking this but here are the facts (quite possible all unrelated but I am putting anything that may possible be relevant): * I have 4 brown...

    Post your FIRST EGG pics!

Should I divide a 24"x15"x15" Nesting box into two boxes?

Should I divide a 24"x15"x15" Nesting box into two boxes?

Thank you all for encouraging me to leave my hen box as is. You've saved me a little stress and freed up some of my time to focus on building a run for my little chicks. I think I'm going to like having chickens (They're so young but seem to have fun individual personalities already!) Cheers!

Should I divide a 24"x15"x15" Nesting box into two boxes?

I'm brand new at raising chickens and am getting overwhelmed by what I'm reading and hope someone can help. I have 4 baby chicks (Plymouth Rock, Australorp, Americauna and Brahma) and they are a week old. I built an A-frame coop with a hen box that is 24" wide, 15" deep and 15" high. I made...
